Will & Must is the driving force behind our work—where commitment meets responsibility to shape a sustainable future.

Founded in 2022 by Anssi, Matti, and Mikke, Will & Must was born from a shared vision to accelerate Finland’s transition toward a greener energy system. Combining diverse expertise from the energy sector, finance, law, and local administration, we set out to build an organization that not only advances climate goals but also fosters sustainable economic growth.

We began by developing utility-scale solar power projects—addressing a market need for capable partners who can execute large, internationally collaborative projects. From modest beginnings, we quickly grew into a major player in the field and have since expanded our activities beyond solar. Today, Will & Must is a tight-knit team with an extensive network of consultants and partners.

In 2024, we announced a landmark collaboration with FRV, one of the world’s leading renewable energy companies, to jointly develop 600 MW of solar capacity in Finland. We firmly believe that bold investments and strategic international partnerships are the keys to positioning Finland as a global leader in the green transition.

Our ambition is clear and bold: to be a key driver in Finland’s energy transformation, ensuring that our country secures its rightful place as a pioneer in renewable energy. We continue to grow and work relentlessly to bring new investments and innovative solutions to Finland, accelerating the shift toward a sustainable, clean energy system.
