Grid-scale storage for a system that runs on flexibility

We develop battery storage that earns in Finland's reserve and wholesale markets: large units brought to ready-to-build for investment partners, and smaller units we build and operate ourselves.

The opportunity

As wind and solar grow against a nuclear baseload, flexibility gets scarce, and storage is paid to provide it

It earns in two markets at once: reserves for the transmission system operator, and the widening spread between cheap and costly hours on the wholesale market.

The returns go to projects that are well sited, connected in time and quick to market. That is a development problem before a technical one, and where we work.

Development

Siting & land

Where the grid is strong

We secure sites close to capacity, with the land agreements and access a long-lived asset needs.

Grid connection

The decisive input

We focus on sites where capacity is realistically available, and carry the connection process with the system and network operators through to confirmed capacity, usually the last gate before a project can be built.

Permitting

Through the approvals

We carry the building permits and authority engagement a storage project requires.

Structure

Sale or own operation

We take each unit to ready-to-build and structure it for sale to a partner or, at the right scale, for our own operation.

See it in practice

We are developing grid-scale battery storage across Finland.
